Victorian philanthropist, Geoff Handbury AO, has kindly donated $2m to The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation in support of Adolescent Health. This gift has enabled the RCH Foundation to establish in perpetuity, The Geoff and Helen Handbury Chair of Adolescent Health.
The Chair is currently held by Lancet Youth Commissioner Professor Susan Sawyer. This appointment will further enhance the already robust research leadership in adolescent health, and ensure that The Royal Children’s Hospital and the Centre for Adolescent Health remains a leader in this field.
Mr Handbury and his late wife, Helen, have supported The Royal Children’s Hospital for close to 20 years and have had a long association in championing adolescent health.
