Three of our very own Commissioners, Dakshitha Wickremarathne, Carmen Barroso and Rima Afifi are appearing on the next edition of “Research Watch” from the UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti. The Topic is, “Are we failing adolescent girls?” and goes online on Monday 20th April. Watch it here.
The 20 minute web-video debate discusses the role, social and structural determinants play, in impeding the progress of adolescent girls. Did you know that almost half, of all child brides worldwide live in South Asia? This is one example of the many topics that will be covered.
The debate is moderated by BBC’s David Eades, and involves the following panellists:
