Dr. Monika Arora is the Director of Health Promotion Division and Associate Professor at Public Health Foundation of India. She is trained in child development, epidemiology, public health and health promotion. She has been involved in Adolescent Health research, policy advocacy, behaviour change intervention designing, Rapid Programme Reviews and evaluation of National Programs.

Dr. Arora is a member on various Screening Committees, Technical Advisory Group on Adolescent Health and a member of Expert Working Group on Implementation, Monitoring and Accountability convened by (WHO) Director General on Ending Childhood Obesity. She is a Member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Adolescent Health and Associate Editor for BMC research. Dr. Arora has been honoured with the Best Practices Award in Global Health in 2011 by the Global Health Council, for demonstrating best practice example in the area of health promotion among adolescents in low SES communities. She has also been awarded with WHO Director General’s World No Tobacco Day Award in 2012.
